The reason why the heating power of the medium frequency furnace can not be sent

The thyristor device of the medium frequency electric furnace works normally at low power. When the power increases, the overcurrent or overvoltage protection action can be dealt with according to the following conditions:

①Whether the SCR components of the main circuit are aging, and their current and voltage withstand capacity are reduced.

② Whether the SCR resistance-capacitance absorption circuit of the main circuit is in poor contact, whether it is damaged or disconnected.

③ Whether the insulation between turns of the reactor and load inductor is good.

④ Whether the cooling water path is blocked, whether the water temperature is too high, and whether the water pressure is too low.

⑤ Whether the withstand voltage of the load compensation capacitor drops.

⑥ Whether the anti-interference performance of the control system decreases (especially the thyristor trigger circuit), because when the medium frequency power increases, the interference will increase, and the overcurrent or overvoltage protection may malfunction.

⑦ Whether the trigger pin of the inverter circuit is too small, when the current rises, the commutation is unsuccessful and the overcurrent protection is activated.

⑧ Whether the SCR waveform of the main circuit is normal (whether the output of the rectifier circuit is lack of phase, and whether the output of the inverter circuit is lack of phase).

⑨ Whether the ground insulation of the main circuit has dropped.

⑩ Whether the setting value of over-current and over-voltage has changed.

Both DC voltage and medium frequency voltage can send rated value, but the DC current is very low, and the rated medium frequency power cannot be sent when Ud rises to the maximum value. It can be dealt with according to the following conditions:

  1. Improper setting of the front foot of the inverter trigger.
  2. The load induction furnace and the compensation capacitor are not matched properly, and the load current equivalent impedance is too high.
