  4. For medium frequency electric furnace capacitors, “single-phase, explosion-proof” capacitors should be used as much as possible.
  5. The medium frequency electric furnace is equipped with related protections such as overvoltage, overcurrent, overload, and overtemperature.
  6. Use vacuum contactor for switching switch. The load of the medium frequency electric furnace is very stable, there is no need to choose the reactive power compensation of the thyristor switching, and the loss of the thyristor is very large. It is recommended to use a vacuum contactor as a control element, which has high reliability and low loss.

Power saving management in the production of medium frequency electric furnace

  1. Install a separate electric meter for the special transformer for medium frequency electric furnace for the operator to record the daily electricity consumption. If the electricity consumption per ton of molten steel fluctuates abnormally, problems can be found and resolved at any time.
  2. Clarify the peak and valley time of local electricity consumption, and arrange production reasonably.

  4. The medium frequency electric furnace does not require electricity for more than one month, and the transformer is reported to be shut down to save basic electricity costs.
  5. The medium frequency electric furnace needs reasonable ingredients and production staff to prepare for feeding and shorten the feeding time.
  6. Keep the medium frequency electric furnace equipment in good condition and have at least one professional electrician.
