Requirements for the Installation Site of Induction Melting Furnaces
In addition to complying with the equipment installation manual, the installation site for the melting furnace must meet the following conditions:
The installation site must be equipped with lifting and transportation devices capable of hoisting the furnace.
A front pit must be constructed in front of the furnace. Its volume must be sufficient to contain the rated capacity of molten metal so that molten metal can be poured into the pit during emergencies.
The water supply must meet the requirements for the cooling system. A backup water source must be provided for use in case of sudden water supply interruptions.
On-site water and oil pipelines must have their inner and outer walls derusted and cleaned before installation.
Pipes and metal structures in the workshop must be kept away from high-current conductors of the furnace to avoid additional eddy current losses.
