Importance of cooling water in the use of medium frequency furnace

The cooling water of the medium frequency furnace is very important in the use of the medium frequency furnace. The medium frequency power supply and the medium frequency furnace coil generate heat during use, and this heat will damage the components of the medium frequency power supply, so cooling water is needed to cool it.

There are two types of cooling water circulation for Huaxin electric furnace: open and closed. In the open circulation, the medium frequency furnace water distributor is located behind the smelting furnace near the axis. The circulating water pool is located underground in the auxiliary room of the plant span. The return water flows by the dead weight of the water. The diameter of the return water pipe cannot be less than 2 times that of the incoming water pipe.

If for some reason the circulating water pool cannot be made underground and is placed on the ground, if you still want to use open circulation at this time, Haishan Electric Furnace recommends that you must raise the water collection tank. The water collection tank and water distributor provided by the medium frequency furnace manufacturer are integrated. When the water collection tank is raised, the water distributor is also raised, which will bring a series of troublesome problems: building a long high platform with a ladder for the water distributor is very inconvenient for operators to inspect; three sets of water hoses are arranged vertically in front of the wall, which has a bad appearance. Therefore, when the circulating cooling water tank cannot be made into an underground type, a closed water circulation should be made.

In addition, a spare high-level water tank should be set for the medium frequency furnace to prevent the induction coil of the medium frequency furnace from being burned out in the event of a sudden power outage. Now, some medium frequency furnace manufacturers separate the electrical part from the furnace body induction coil and water-cooling cable, and use two types of water for cooling. After the power outage, the heating of the electrical part stops quickly, and there is no need to continue cooling. The water in the high-level water tank only cools the induction coil, and its volume should not be less than the amount of cooling water for the induction coil for half an hour.
